Welcome to Cub Kids.  I'm Victoria Keating, creator of the Cub Kids label. After 10 years in clothing design and creating dress costumes for Harlequin, I decided it was time to take this love of creating beautiful clothing and produce marvelous designs for children.  As the mum of two awesome little boys, I know how fun it can be to find the perfect clothing to match their personalities.

Cub Kids was actually inspired when I was was expecting my second child.  I was convinced that I was expecting a girl.  You know how it is mums; you suddenly become Mother Earth and you just know...  Well, my scan day arrived and I sat patiently waiting to have my prediction confirmed, when I was promptly informed I was not going to have my little Princess after all.  “Seriously, it's a girl.  I just know it is!”  Yet, despite my arguing, the scan proved otherwise.  “No, Mrs. Keating it's definitely a boy...if you just look here...”  Ah, yes I couldn't deny it!  So, all these pretty girl things, and no girl, which led me to share them with you!

Cub Kids has grown from that unintentional beginning, to include two great lines: Classic Cubs which offers vintage inspired clothing, and Funky Cubs which brings a whole new twist to modern funky clothes.  All of my clothing is made with 100% cotton, or occasionally a cotton blend, designer fabrics.  To keep my lines real and different, I choose fabrics you won't find everywhere.  I believe in organic, fair trade cotton, and the difference comes through in our baby grows with their think, cuddly design.  

Because I care so much about each design I create for your child, it's important to me to keep  things handmade when possible. I think it is so important to know where our clothing comes from and knowing how it was produced. In this light, Cub Kids has partnered with some other incredible companies that follow our philosophy.  All of this blended together lets Cub Kids bring you items that will last through trend and fad so hopefully your child won't look back in 16 years and say, “Mum, what the hell was I wearing?”  Well, I won't make promises (there is no pleasing a teenager!), but I know you will love our range and I look forward to becoming a firm favourite with you and your lovely family!
